Looking for advice!
Hi! Just looking for some advice on my weight loss.
I am 5'4, 142 pounds currently. Last summer I was at 167 and was 137 by the end of December - I did this mainly through eating 1200-1300, home dumbbell workouts, and walking 5-10k steps a day. Had a stressful couple months of work and ended up back around 147 in the spring. Been back on track since mid April and have been significantly more active this time around - trying to focus on building functional muscle while I lose the weight this time so I can be strong.
This is my current program:
-eating 1300-1500 calories a day depending on activity level
-walking 8-10k steps a day
-2-3 days of 40 min incline walking (3mph, 12%) sometimes combined w/ stairmaster + 20-30 min of strength training
-1 day of yoga
-3-4 days high intensity cardio in the form of boxing conditioning or kickboxing conditioning classes, usually take 1-2 classes on these days - classes are 1 hour each.
I wear a polar verity sense armband when i workout and it tells me I burn on average 400 calories per hour of boxing, so on those days I started eating closer to 1500 as I was experiencing extreme fatigue and was on often on the brink of passing out.
I've definitely noticed significant body recomp this time as I'm starting to see visible abs and defined muscles on my arms. However, the last 2 weeks I've been stuck at 142 with seemingly no drop in weight. Wondering if I am eating too much or too little or what else might be stalling my progress?
Trying to not get discouraged as I know this is for my longterm health, but I just want to try to figure out if I should change up my program. I do my best trying to get as much protein as possible but definitely do come up short sometimes as I am vegetarian and struggle with cooking lol. (working towards vegan - the only remaining non-vegan item I eat is cheese). Been considering trying the Create or Arrae creatine supplements to help out too.
If anyone has any thoughts let me know, thank you!! :)
