Why are a lot of drivers so rude and scruffy?

I’ve recently got a job driving Class 1 ( 8 months ish )

I’m shocked about how rude so many drivers are to staff they deal with at drops / collections - is this just the norm?

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve met some lovely people as well, but Jesus Christ I think you’re in the wrong job if traffic makes you this angry.

Don’t get me stared on rest areas filled with piss bottles and general rubbish.

Is this an issue with agency drivers / international drivers or is the job as a whole just attractive to unpleasant people?

Maybe I’m just really unlucky and only meet Cunts? I wasn’t expecting it to be a glamorous job, but I thought people would have a slight bit of pride
