Is PG3D actually dying or am I just noticing it more lately?
Ok so I get that everyone’s got their opinions, and a ton of people miss the old-school Pixel Gun days when it actually felt fair. But that doesn’t explain why there’s barely anyone playing anymore. Look, I only play PG3D because of the wild unique weapons, the cute pets, and that fun, fast, colorful gameplay. It’s straight-up my childhood. I’ve been playing since I got my first Samsung tablet (I’m on Apple now, by the way. This wasback when I wasn’t even allowed a phone yet). Even today, whenever I’m bored, I hop in and still have a blast. It’s just that one game that hits different: quick matches, crazy gun designs, pure nostalgia fuel. But lately I’ve been noticing way fewer players, I know some maps are hated so they’re always empty, but no matter what I pick now it’s usually just 3v3, maybe a 5v5 if I’m lucky.
I see people saying “PG3D is dead” both online and when I'm playing PG3D all the time, and honestly I could say that about plenty of games… but is it actually true? I’m not even that hyped for Pixel Gun 2 because the trailers look kinda AI-generated and I’m scared it’ll flop like Payday 3 and a bunch of other sequels. So lets be honest here, what’s actually going on? Did something big happen that I missed, or is the game just slowly dying like people say? I don’t want random opinions, I want the truth. Anyone know what’s really happening behind the scenes, please let me know?
