Why are people intimidated by openness? It feels like the more you are an open book, the more people hate on it or feel uncomfortable

Resource / Technique

I don't trauma dump(not in public at least, online is free game and reddit is anonymous), I give people warnings or ask before I tell my story but I am very, very open with who I am, my family ties, my past abuse, and what I been thru.

I don't mind telling these experiences and I'm not afraid to do so. Not saying people are cowards for not being open, but why are people so critical about people who are open books? Someone online tried to dig at me because of my history posting on this subreddit and I told them that doesn't hurt me because I publicly put it out there and I don't mind people knowing these things.

Even in real life, I got told "I wish I had self esteem as high as yours and confidence as high as yours" after telling my story to them when it came up and they asked more about it.

What does that even mean? Do I have high self esteem just because I'm open? Is that low-key an insult?
