how do you make sure you never become a old head that has a boss younger than them?

After all, that’s pretty embarrassing so how do I prevent that? I was raised with respect your elders. so how is someone fresh outta college or recently joining the company able to tell me what to do? i have company loyalty and been there longer than everyone else.
