Is IILM Greater Noida (B.Tech Bioinformatics/Biotechnology) actually worth it? Need honest opinions.

Bio / Biotech / BioE

I am a NEET aspirant looking at backup options in case MBBS doesn't work out this year.

One university I've been considering is IILM Greater Noida, specifically:

- B.Tech Bioinformatics

- B.Tech Biotechnology

I'd really appreciate honest reviews from current students, alumni, or anyone familiar with the university.

Some things I'd like to know:

  1. How is the overall quality of the Bioinformatics and Biotechnology programs?

  2. Are the labs, faculty, and research opportunities actually good, or are they mostly marketing?

  3. How are the placements specifically for Bioinformatics and Biotechnology students?

  4. What are the average and highest packages that students realistically get?

  5. How many students actually get placed in core biotech/bioinformatics roles?

  6. Do most students end up pursuing M.Sc., M.Tech, MBA, or PhD after graduation?

  7. Is Bioinformatics significantly better than Biotechnology in terms of career opportunities?

  8. Are students taught coding, data science, AI/ML, genomics, and computational biology in enough depth to be employable?

  9. How is the campus life, peer group, and academic culture?

  10. If you had the choice again, would you still choose IILM?

For context, I'm trying to compare:

- Taking a large education loan for a private MBBS seat

vs

- Pursuing B.Tech Bioinformatics/Biotechnology at IILM and building a career in that field.

I'm not looking for promotional answers. I'd genuinely like to hear both the positives and negatives before making any decisions.

Thanks in advance.
