[Rant] Over 50? Forget about finding a PARTNER
M52, I've been lucky enough to meet a few great women on this app. A dated three of them for a few months, but after the initial fireworks and all, the feeling on my end was always to be some sort of NPC in their lives.
They were not really inclined to change much in how their lives were structured, and most of all how they controlled every aspect of it. Adding a partner to your life, at least for how I see, requires compromising, flexibility, adjustments. Sure, if you don't like peas, that's fine, I won't cook my favorite "pasta and piselli" for dinner.
But if you insist on driving 30 minutes to Wegmans because that's the only store you like, and are not even willing to give my suggestion to try a closer grocery store that I really like, what's the point?
If only one partner keeps adjusting and compromising, what kind of relationship is that? Am I the only one experiencing this, especially in this age range? I'm at that point in my life where I'm this close to say f*ck it, I'd better be alone.
