For some pup info: she's one and a half, very high energy, extremely extremely food motivated, and a velcro dog. She's a rescue but I think she's husky/aussie.

To preface, she is eating/drinking/peeing/pooping normally, and still very high energy level and wanting to run/play when I let her out.

I took her to an enclosed area for off leash time yesterday; about 40 minutes. She ran/walked around and we went home, no issues.

She was laying down in the kitchen last night while I was cleaning (within an hour of us getting home) and she whined a bit, so I checked on her and didn't notice much other than she seemed low mood. I had cooked some chicken breast as a treat for her so I tried to work on some commands for mental stimulation, figuring maybe she was bored. That's when I realized that even with food she wouldn't sit or lay when I asked. You could see that she was thinking about it and would briefly try but kept stopping and standing up.

She normally does an "auto down" when she wants something and stares into my soul while laying down, but she's been doing essentially a puppy bow instead, but not in a wanting to play way.

I called the emergency vet last night concerned it was bloat (based on various symptoms she was exhibiting, combined with initial panic) but they said it was super unlikely and to check in with my regular vet today.

I checked out her body today, and manually manipulated her back legs to check mobility. She yoinked her back left leg from me a couple times, and the right was fine. She also isn't following me around like she typically would. You can also see that she's always sitting on her right with her leg leg out, but when she goes to stand she shifts her weight first.

I called our regular vet and they said it's likely not an emergency, to monitor and check back in next week.

Could she possibly have just sprained it while running? If so, after how long would I start to see improvement typically? Is there anything I could check her for, or should monitor for?

I realize it's tough without diagnostic testing but since they suggested I wait and see, I'm just hoping for some insight in the meantime.

Thank you in advance. She's my first dog so I'm new to this and appreciate any help!
