Looking for a jeweler to verify and set a loose diamond

I somehow ended up with a loose stone that is supposedly a lab-grown diamond (long story).
It came with an IGI certificate, but since I didn’t purchase it through a jeweler, I’d like an independent professional to verify whether it’s actually a diamond and that it matches the IGI certificate.

If it turns out to be real, I’d love to have it set into a ring or necklace.

Has anyone worked with a jeweler in SF who would be willing to evaluate a stone that wasn’t purchased through them? I’d like to avoid paying for an appraiser since the value of an appraisal could be as much as the stone for all I know (if the diamond isn’t the one on the cert.)

Would love any recommendations.
