Can you teach a walking baby to crawl?
LO is 16 months, hated tummy time, never crawled, got around via scoot, and only just started walking. I booked an early intervention consult, and by the time it happened she had just started walking and didn't qualify. The PT who came said we should do whatever we can to teach LO to crawl or she could end up with underdeveloped core and arm muscles. I also never crawled, and have always felt that I have a weak core.
Has anyone here had success teaching a walking baby how to crawl? PT recommended climbing over a nugget couch, so we'll invest in one or something similar, but I'm curious about other potential strategies. If I place her on all fours she just rights herself.
