Favorite mods that still work smoothly?

I’m closing in on the end of my first playthrough in over a decade, full domination as Chosokabe. I started poking around at mods for a second round, but so many of the workshop mods have one of two problems imo:

1. There’s no or very little rating or feedback about them, making it tough to gauge whether they’re worth trying. As I have limited time to dig deep enough into a game to determine whether I like a mod’s changes, that’s tough.

Or

2. A bunch of comments saying the mod no longer works with X version or Y dlc.

So I’m using my ask the audience lifeline. What mods do you know and like, that work with the latest version? And what do those mods do?
