Babylist registry question for those who had success!

Hi all,

I am setting up my registry and have heard horror stories about using Babylist as the main registry for reasons of duplicates, difficulty with customer service, and other reasons. However, in those threads, people reply having had amazing experiences.

My question is, if you had a successful experience with Babylist, how did you use it? I created a separate Amazon registry and Target registry and planned on using my Babylist link as more of the main link on my invites and when people go to the site, they'd see those separate links to the outside registries at the top. Also for items that aren't on available on either, then I'd upload them directly to Babylist (for example, we want to get a crib from IKEA). There would be no duplicates on any of the sites (for instance, I'm not putting a bouncer on both Target and Amazon).

Is this what those of you did who felt using Babylist was successful? Or did you just link the items directly and it just happened to be smooth? I don't want to create confusion for folks but I'm also very concerned based off the warnings I'm seeing from people with bad experiences.
