Medic tent

General Roo Talk 🎡

Hey guys I wanted to come on here and share an unusual experience my group and I had with the medic tent. Last night we had a person in our group pass out multiple times. Once we were able to get medic attention we were able to walk him over to the medic tent. This was unusual as in previous scenarios at Bonnaroo they are normally very responsive and attentive to helping anyone who needs medical need. In this case, there was no urgency or willingness to help. When we showed up to the medic tent there was a woman who was telling us our friend who had passed out could not sit in the chairs. This left the other medical personnel who brought us over there confused and she proceeded to tell the medic in charge that she had been radioing to her that we would be coming there and needed assistance back to our campsite. I started to see her get angry with the other medic workers. I kindly asked her if there was absolutely any way we could get our friend escorted back, since we were not comfortable walking back after the circumstances. She proceeded to tell me that they were not a “shuttle service” and that I would need to find a shuttle to take us back. She then said if our friend had passed out 3 times, that he needed a doctor and she would not be able to help us. The whole thing was very odd. My friend a few years ago passed out under extreme heat and the medics were quick to make sure they escorted and took proper care of. So this experience was beyond unlike anything I’ve ever had at bonaroo with medical personal.
