Water related frustrations

Advice Needed

I have no idea where the connection came from but hear me out. My child connects being frustrated with water or liquid in some way. For in stance when the other parent isn't around she asks where are they, then when I proceed to tell her she says I am thirsty or I have to use the bathroom.

Of course I get a juice or water or direct them to the restroom after that but they never ACTUALLY need to use restroom or never need to drink something. It's like the frustration is connected to water in some way but I have no idea why because it leads to a meltdown.

It also happens when they are tired but won't say they are tired and continues to be inconsolable. Also they want to be picked up which is getting increasingly hard since they are getting older.

Any clue why they are saying thirsty or bathroom when frustrated?
