How do you manage your parents’ health and safety from 8000 miles away?
I sat next to a man on a flight from San Francisco. He has lived in the US for the past 20 years and has parents who live alone back in Mumbai. Among many things, he talked about the uncertainty of just not knowing how they are doing. He has family go check in on them a few times a week, but that is nowhere near enough to know they haven’t had a fall, or generally how their health is doing.
I have had similar conversations with a few people and wanted to know if this is a problem that a significant proportion of NRIs face.
How do you know how your parents are doing on a day to day basis? Is something missing?
