Do tattoo shops actually prefer paper consent forms?

I'm trying to understand something about how tattoo shops handle consent forms.

When I search Google for things like "tattoo consent form template", most of the results are PDFs that look designed to be printed and signed on paper.

For those of you who work in tattoo studios:

  • Do you actually prefer paper consent forms?
  • Or do you use online intake/consent forms before the appointment?
  • If you still use paper, what's the main reason (legal requirements, client preference, habit, easier workflow, something else)?
  • If you use online forms, what information do you collect before the client arrives?

I'm curious whether the prevalence of PDF templates in Google reflects what tattoo shops really use, or whether it's just what Google tends to rank for these searches.
