How can Stranger Than Heaven look worse than Yakuza 6 which is a ten year old game?

Seriously, their obsession with filters ever since Kiwami 2 has always been baffling, but STH seems to be taking it to the extreme, with different filters for each time period resulting in a very incoherent and messy look. Even the textures are worse, and this is a current gen exclusive. Why does a last gen game look so much better than it?
