I think that general artistic design in this game is something that deserves a special praise
I have to write this, because it's hitting me from the start and I'm still in awe how well visually designed are:
- characters
- monsters (with special prize for trolls)
- armors
- weapons
- terrain
- buildings
Everything just FITS.
Armors look like they actually protect - they don't look like some cartoonish Netflix american fantasy bullshit, they look like they are actually designed for protection (beside maybe brotherhood armors that are quite weird, but that's because they were like that even in original G1) - Old Camp armors are clearly robbed guard and knight armors while New Camp mercenary armors are clearly some heavy sailor/soldier armors with no fancy decorations but a lot of steel, weapons look heavy and dangerous, orcs are freaking massive brutes, terrain is as colorful and detailed as it should be, no more, no less, nearly every NPC has his own face with mimics, I could recognize these people by face even if they had no name above their heads.
In terms of immersion and vibes of "medieval fantasy game" it's best thing since Witcher 3 where we also had similar artistic coherence.
