Awards

Hi all, I am starting a PhD at SFU in the fall. My supervisor let me know that I won a Graudate Deans Entrance Scholarship. She’s a new prof, so she’s not 100% sure, but thinks I should be getting an email from the school with the award notification. But it’s been a couple months and I haven’t heard from them. Just wondering if they formally email winners or if it’s just up to supervisor to let their student know?
