How to stop feeling guilty about shifting when the community is deadset on the image of a "morally good" shifter
Before I start this, I know how the title sounds and there are obvious things I wouldn't or anyone wouldn't do in other realities because it doesn't align with our morals, that's very understandable and it's okay to be weirded out when people shift for things that can be considered morally bad in this reality.
But I need to ask honest opinions from my fellow shifters, especially as someone who's queer and a poc, Where do we draw the lines at policing other shifters because the state of the shifting community as a whole is no longer just being helpful and sharing their experiences,
It's more of a "See, this is the right way to shift! And I have more knowledge because I've shifted therefore every peasant who hasn't done shifting shall shift according to my personal bible!" thing.
Other day I came across a post that listed 130+ things you "must" script out in your Dr to make it a better world for everyone and you because otherwise, you'd be encouraging harmful ideologies in your drs and you'd be a bad "unwoke" person. The post was longer than a fanfic with very detailed things you must include in your script.
It had more than 2k likes and everyone agreeing.
That statement and that post just made me question a lot about the way I shift and I had an overwhelming feeling of guilt.
Have I, as someone who's part of minorities in this reality, been encouraging bigotry and putting other people in my Dr through hell because I haven't scripted out these specific things in my Drs?
Because me and few other shifters I know don't follow scripts at all. We imagine our Drs and our subconscious minds play a bigger role in shifting, so most our experiences are similar to rolling a dice.
So I did a lot of thinking and so many things started to come to my head. If your DR must be free of any kind of conflict and violence, people shifting Drs like aot, supernatural, mha, Harry Potter, star wars, Walking dead etc, are they morally bad as well?
If there shouldn't be any kind of morality conflict in our Drs does that mean we should only shift to Drs where everything is perfectly perfect?
Are we bad people for shifting to Drs that others consider morally bad?
I like to have a discussion on this. Or things that helped in your shifting journey to doesn't care about unwanted thoughts like this.
