Precious Metals Sales Job (Gold/Silver)

Does anyone have any insight on this type of sales job? I have a close buddy who makes between $500k-1m yearly doing this. I’ve never held a sales job in my life, but I’m potentially being offered a job.

I know with probably any sales job, you have quotas to meet per week or per month etc. I’m assuming if you’re good at talking to people, the rest will come with experience. I’m a quick learner and I see an opportunity here but wanted to ask for advice/insight first.

Please be honest and truthful with your feedback. I’m sure it can be tough at times and will require working under pressure. For what it’s worth, I have a doctorate and work as a retail pharmacist so I understand dealing with people and crappy environments and being stressed out. Appreciate all feedback.
