Weird Things
I have read many things on this sub about narcissists doing strange things, and having weird habits. A few weeks ago, though, something strange happened and i wonder if any one has experienced anything close to this.
My STBX has many narcissitic traits. Very covert-style. A few weeks ago, I came back from a trip to the stores with one of our kids. My wife had a friend there and when I came in, i heard their conversation change suddenly from what they were talking about to a conversation about taking a trip together this summer. The friend asked if that'd be okay and I said it's fine. I didn't care; she's a big girl. The friend said "you mean you don't want her to go?" That's not at all what I said. I said "No... go... do whatever you want. Things'll be great here. I hope you have a great time. Just tell me what help I can do" I'm am the primary parent for out kids most of the time, so this part is no big deal.
The next day my wife came back from the library a tote bag full of travel books.
A day or two after that she announced "I have a call with my friend later to talk about the trip." She went for more library books and then took her call and the kids and I just cleaned up the dinner pans and we then played XBox. After ward she asked me about some cities I'd never been to and said she wanted to do a multicity trip. I again, said that's great and I wish I could help more
A few days later, the books were gone. She said nothing other but she decided not to go with some vague reason. The children asked questions, she skipped past them without real answers. The kids are young so they just probably didn't notice anything but I noticed that she didn't really answer them.
That was it. She hasn't said a word at all about it since.
This all took only less than one week from start to finish It seemed very strange to me and i have thought about it a lot since then. Has anyone else had unusual things like this happen? I very much wonder what happened there. Something is not making sense.
(English is not my first language and I am trying so I used Translate for a lot of this. Sorry for any terrible mistakes)
