Should I stop writing a love letter?

It's not really a question to be fair, I started writing my story that was designed to be a love letter and thank you to my partner for everything she has done for me. But after 13 years together and 24 years of friendship, she wanted other things and we broke up.

Now this was my main work and hobby and although I want to continue, I'm finding it hard to find what emotions and themes to put across and if it should even be a love letter anymore as my feelings have changed about her.

At a very basic scale its about a man who will do anything to find and save his wife. On a more complex scale its paranormal and supernatural, mysterious and brutal.
