Switch 2 Dock Stopped Working

Discussion

Hey y'all, I got a weird issue and I'm not sure if I bricked my Switch 2's dock or what. Here's basically the gist of it.

My console was off/without battery for few weeks after I got back from a trip. I decided I wanted to play the Starfox demo, but it seems I misplaced the official USB-C cable for the AC Adapter. I have the official AC Adapter, just not the cable. I have a bunch of USB-C cables lying around, so I grabbed one and plugged in. I dropped my Switch 2 into the dock and the green light flashed once and then turned off. The console won't charge in the system or go into TV mode.

Now, I realize I may have messed up. I genuinely don't know the wattage of the USB-C cable I used. It's not listed on the cable. But, even if it were underpowered, it seems silly that an underpowered cable would just brick the dock like that. So I bought an Anker 100W USB-C cable off Amazon and... same issue.

Both the old cable and the 100W anker charge the console from the AC adapter just fine on both of its ports. It just doesn't work in docked mode.

I've tried doing what's recommended from Nintendo and online.

- Leaving everything unplugged for 10 minutes or so, and then plugged in the AC adapter first, then the HDMI cable, followed by docking the console.

- I've tried swapping the order from above, (HDMI first, then AC adapter, then console, or console first while on etc) no luck.

I've already contacted Nintendo, and I obviously omitted the detail that I didn't use the official cable, and they've agreed to RMA the Dock. I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue and knows of a fix.
