Forgiveness

If someone hurt me deeply, and eventually I forgive this person, am I obligated to be friendly with them again? Can I avoid them? Be cold to them? Does forgiveness mean I must keep their betrayal in the back of my mind, but put on a friendly front facing facade. I have to see this person on the regular. I can forgive how they hurt me, but I struggle with giving them my authentic self.
