New role and no direction

I was in data at CRO prior to getting laid off then I started this new role as study coordinator in a local CRO which was created to help the team but there was really no direction. Had my mid year first they offer for me to mange two more teams which I wasn’t sure about. I mentioned I’m also interested in data and they want me to redefine my role and job title I was hoping to redevelop as a hybrid role.

After the meeting I was thinking that the data aspect might take some time to develop and gain more experience in. I should take on more responsibilities to secure my role and get more money now and redefine my title later?

Is this a good or bad thing!? I’m really nervous and never experienced this in my career.

I have listed my core responsibilities and is going to propose what I have accomplished and take on to justify more money..
