I can’t stand when TV shows for some reason ruin their final season

I don’t know what’s gotten into modern TV shows lately. Almost every TV show that I have seen in recent years that starts out as a highly compelling and well-written show turns into a literal pile of trash by their last season. Obviously this isn’t straight across the board and while I am a big film person, I haven’t seen every TV show ever so if you guys have recommendations please let me know. I’ve just noticed this recent trend of really good TV shows having crappy last seasons and genuinely why? It’s like the writers just stopped caring and wanted to get it over with. Shows like Breaking Bad or the sopranos always draw me back in because their final seasons and final episode were just so incredibly phenomenal that you can tell the creators were just in love with their show and cared only about writing a good storyline and satisfying ending for their characters. I just finished The Boys and I don’t wanna go on a whole rant here about season 5, but the finale specifically was unbelievably bad compared to earlier seasons of the show. And I just can’t pinpoint the exact reason as to why this season was so horrible compared to the others. Same with the show Shameless. And let’s not even talk about game of thrones. It just doesn’t make sense, either the writers are totally exhausted and want to move on or they have agendas that they want to push in the show and they care more about that than actually writing a compelling last season.
