When do they film the short interviews?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but when do they film those short little interviews that they play when the contestants are walking up? They can’t film them before the show because the people talk about who they’re going to play against. So do they film them afterwards and just ask “what were you thinking when you were walking up?” Because I don’t think I could pretend to be all cocky in an interview if I lost my duel.

Of course, they probably are just reading what some show writers wrote for them.
