Is there an alternative community in Elk Grove?

Hello all,

I’m moving to Elk Grove the summer and I just wanted to get a feel for the culture out there. I heard it’s quite diverse. I tend to dress more alternatively, I have unnaturally colored hair and I like to get somewhat experimental with my makeup. I’ve lived in places where this is no big deal, but I’ve also lived in places where this kind of thing will attract glares and unwanted interactions. It would be nice to get some input so that I can manage my expectations.

Ideally, I’d love to meet more alternative people, so if there is any kind of existing community I would love any kind of advice on where to find that.
