Medical alert bracelets

What are your thoughts on medical alert bracelets? I’m worried about my dad falling. He’s fallen a couple times before and my mom can’t get him up by herself. I’m worried if I get him one he won’t want to use it. He’s super stubborn. But are they worth it?
