What’s your craziest “I avoided this task by doing a way harder much longer task instead” story?

I usually like to read when I’m hungry or do dishes when I’m tired but today instead of drinking water because I was thirsty I decided to mow the whole front lawn. That’s my most recent and most insane “I avoided one task by doing a much harder task” situation.

I have since drank water. And I always end up doing the task I needed to do after I do the task I want to do to avoid the first task. But I’ve always had a habit of doing this for some reason. Avoidance tasks are so fun when you know you’re supposed to be doing anything else.
