First class is overhyped for airplanes.

For the price of a regular ticket vs the price of a first class ticket? First class is absolutely overrated, it’s only “worth it” if thousands of dollars mean very little to you.

I flew from San Francisco to Tokyo (Narita) two years back and got first class flying to Tokyo and economy flying back. It was a small price difference of only $600 for the first class and absolutely not worth it and that’s a cheap first class seat. I can’t imagine spending thousands of dollars for these first class seats unless I had absolute fuck you type of money
