We're entering version 3.0, in the aerial city, and I wondered if we'll be fully introduced to the Dark Wall in the lore during this version. But the question I want to get to is: We know from the Void Hunter teaser that Eridu/the apparently habitable area of the planet is surrounded by the Dark Wall, right? And that Eridu is said to be the last bastion of humanity. Based on this, what we can imagine the Dark Wall to be like is similar to the Moon in the game (which is half covered by this corruption) and the trailer showing Aria in space, showing planet Earth covered by the same corruption as the Moon (the Dark Wall).

But what if planet Earth is similar to the Moon? What if instead of being 90% covered by the Dark Wall, it's like 60-70%? But Eridu is totally isolated in the middle of this Dark Wall (like those two bubbles/hollows on the surface of the Moon's "Dark Wall"). It would then be like a continent (or what's left of the continents) living "normally" (just like Eridu itself), but Eridu itself would be a remote "island" in the middle of the ocean. And in fact, Eridu would be considered an "extremely dangerous city to go to".

But then it gets interesting: Eridu doesn't know this, or if it does, very few people do, and why would the government hide it? And even if they genuinely didn't know... firstly, knowing wouldn't solve the problem of reaching this supercontinent (or any other city bubble). Depending on the distance between them, it would be thousands of kilometers, it would take years, maybe decades, maybe generations to push the Dark Wall there, that is, if you know where you're pushing it (if this "pushing" isn't literally a push that gathers more Dark Wall towards the pushed location). There's also the fact that technology might not be able to handle air transport, for example; it would need: fuel, route, communication... or simply the fact that this information has just been lost over the generations. Here's another point: if it's not a "mega-continent," it could simply be several bubbles isolated by the Dark Wall, each with its own "last bastion of humanity," with its own cultures, its own people, each believing they are the last, perhaps even having a different name for Hollow, their own names for Void Hunter. Completely isolated from each other, some larger than others, thriving, others about to be exterminated by the Hollows.

Am I tripping or is it an interesting possibility?

What if Eridu isn't the last bastion in the world...But the last one she knows?
