PGWP refusal but study permit valid

applied for pgwp may 17, 2026. got refused because i missed uploading the pte core test results. i took the pte test on may 15, 2016, so before applying.

However, my study permit is set to expire July 31, 2026, and got my letter of completion May 6, 2026. Does that mean I need restoration status or can i just apply for a new pgwp? also want to know if the study permit becomes invalid after you get a pgwp refusal
