do married couples actually like each other? does marriage work?

i’m elder gen z. i feel like romance is all just a myth created to help women cope under the patriarchy. do married couples actually like each other or have sex or feel romantic attraction to each other? or kiss?? is marriage actually something that can work?? i mean actually work and be happy. not just exist out of convenience. personally i don’t think so. i don’t think humans are meant to be monogamous but i understand the difficulties of polyamory. especially with all the insecurities and attachment pushed on us by society and cishet monogamous relationships
