Advice on twitching so bad when needle hits certain spots on leg

Hey everyone! Apologies if this isnt the right subreddit. Im not really sure who to ask. Ive been getting tattooed for years but most of them have been on my arms which is little to no pain. The past few years ive moved to my legs in various spots. My question is, is it normal to be so fucking twitchy! My artist is very patient and understanding but I still feel bad. Is it normal to twitch when the needle hits certain spots? How do I stop doing that? Im not asking for medical advice.
