I have a theory - does anyone agree/disagree/have a solution?
So hypothetically boy meets girl when they are both in their early 20s. They fall in love or some version of this and are together long term. They have a child or multiple children. Relationship breaks down in their 30s.
Boy (now man) when trying to date is remenbering the standards he had 10 years ago but realistically he wont have the same options and now has the added baggage of less freedom in employment/kids/a baby mama etc. This causes a void of what he wants compared to what he can get so future relationships feels like settling and are unfufilling.
Add the problems of addiction to adult content (women skewing younger on average).
Girl (now woman) in same boat - less options but keeping the same high standards of 10 years ago. Same deal. More options for casual encounters but not what she wants maybe.
Conclusion - Much more difficult as you get older for all parties involved. Less options. Less chance and/or time to socialise. Probably less friends to socialise with.
Solution - Fuck knows - Adjust expectations or die alone.
