I’m going to preface this by saying that I don’t hate this community nor this subreddit, but I do have quite a lot of grievances with both of them, from the constant use of unfunny and/or overused jokes (the elephant jokes stopped being funny like 2 weeks ago, get better material), to the borderline parasocial behavior towards people like zeal and his mom, dare I say this even extends to ren (they don’t know you and you don’t know them, you are a stranger on the internet, not their friend). But I feel my issues are all encapsulated in the general immaturity this community has shown towards the situation as a whole

Most people have been acting really childishly about what’s been happening, to the point that anyone who treats the situation with even the slightest bit of competence has been praised by whoever they’re siding with, and if treating a serious problem with the maturity it deserves is all it takes for people to love you, then I feel that says a lot about the kind of community you’re dealing with

The memes/jokes people have been making are the biggest example of this, I know comedy is typically used to cope with bad things happening, but it seriously gets to a point, this is someone being accused of a horrible crime, not someone being outed as just some asshole, and ***if*** ***(very big "if" here)*** ren is proven to actually be right, then a very big chunk of the community is going to look just as horrible

Another thing about this is that it kills any attempt at a genuine debate, no matter where I look, it’s just people slinging shit at each other, to the point where I don’t a reason to actually try and make an argument and only see a reason to make fun of this community

The weirdest part that I truly don’t understand is that I don’t remember people acting like this with people like kwite, even though he’s more relevant than pressure as far as I can tell, my only guess as to why this is the case is that this community is for a roblox game, and said communities don’t really have many mature people in them

This isn’t about zeal or ren or even picking a side to me, this is about common decency, and I just want people to think when they type (then again, this is the internet, so maybe I’m asking for way too much here)

TL;DR: please stop treating this like it’s just drama/entertainment and get a goddamn grip on reality for the love of god, this shit is depressing

This community is concerningly immature
