“Field Medic” idea (meme & srs version)
Probably everybody knows it’s against the Geneva Conventions to [attack medics](https://ihl-databases.icrc.org/en/customary-ihl/v1/rule25), so I’ve got two ideas:
## Meme idea:
The community just decides that no fighting is allowed in and around the Medical tent area.
This idea lives or dies by how hard the community embraces it, and it’d benefit from streamers adopting it too. It’s just a meme tho.
Similar “unwritten community rules” have been done in other games, like the well-known “fist fight 1v1“ at the end of Apex matches, no camping/tunneling in Dead by Daylight, no Estus in Dark Souls 1-3 duels (apparently), Palia has a ton of unspoken rules, etc., so it’s not impossible.
## Actual more serious idea:
Introduce a separate queue for “field medics“ where you enter the match solo as a specially marked hunter (with **obvious medical attire**).
Your presence doesn’t contribute to the 12-player limit, but the max players can still only go up to 15 (12 players +3 medics). It’s debatable whether you should spawn in immediately with everyone else, or join matches in progress (like late support).
Your whole goal is to find other players and support them. You get experience and money for each player you’ve healed/given shots to/who used your ammo, tool, or medical boxes, etc.
All the equipment you bring is free of charge; it’s just all gains if you queue as a field medic.
**This part’s less certain, but my immediate anti-griefing thought is:**
- You can’t shoot hunters ((maybe unless they shoot you first??)), and you can only bring ammo that can’t detonate explosive barrels (poison bullets/pennyshot for guns, arrows, steel bolts, etc.).
- Hunters get nothing from killing you (can’t even loot you)
- You get no XP or money from killing hunters (CAN loot them though)
- You won’t get any XP/money from killing ads; can’t even grab the bounty probably? Unless every other hunter is dead I guess?
- Again: You can only bring equipment from an approved list of support items, so you probably couldn’t bring traps to grief or kill people.
