How do I know if they are real feelings or just depression brain rebound feelings?
For context I am a recently single mother. My ex husband and I separated less than a year ago and I moved in with my daughter to a friend's place. My mental health is in the toilet and I'm trying to get therapy for it but I'm also barely scrapping by each week with money. My friend has been so amazing and supportive and I don't think I would have gotten through as much as I have without their help.
Recently I have found myself wanting to kiss them and I think I might be developing feelings for them. But I also know that my brains a mess and it could just be that I'm lonely and seeking the comfort of a relationship again. These feelings also started coming about when I found out my ex is seeing someone new so it could be jealousy or something.
I'm really lost and confused on what is really happening with all this. I don't want to start something with my friend and have it just be a rebound and end up hurting them. They truly have been amazing and I really don't want to ruin what we have, but also what if it could be more and we could both end up happy together.
Any advice would be appreciated.
