Does physical mail come after I-130 (online application) get approval?
Hi Everyone,
I would like to ask a question. I currently have a pending I-130 (filed by a US citizen spouse) with a Priority Date (PD) of May 2025. I am the beneficiary and currently working in Canada; however, because of private issue, I have decided to move back to my home country in August while waiting. Since the address we put on the I-130 at the time of filing was my Canadian address and specified the Canadian Embassy, can I wait until the I-130 is approved and enters the NVC stage to change my address? We worried about if we change the address now, it would impact the processing time of I-130.
Does anyone know what we will receive physically when I-130 gets approved? I saw several posts said the letter will be sending to the petitioner address instead of petitionee. Any similar experience here?
If, unfortunately, I don't receive the physical mail at that time, is there any way to remedy it? (Because my current roommate doesn't check the mail very often—I'm usually the one doing it—I think there is a probability the mail will get lost after I move.
Thank you in advance.
