What to do to not get exploited, hacked or leak ur info online

I'm just wondering and anxious, how does someone get hacked or get their info leaked, what do I need to do? What do I need to hide? What do I need to use? I'm not very skilled at hacking/computers but I know little how someone gets hacked, so please use simple words and any reply will help
