Folks, I've broken this one down every which way and I keep landing in the same spot. The Cubs are the better ballclub, top to bottom, and tonight they get a Giants team that's been treading water all season. This is the kind of spot where the better team just finds a way, bend don't break, and grind out the win.
Yeah, Oracle Park's gonna keep this thing under control, nobody's hitting five homers tonight. But honestly that works in our favor, low scoring games favor the team that can manufacture a run or two and lock it down late. That's the Cubs.
