Can’t boot into BIOS (bootloader actually) bc screen is black until OS is booted
So basically I have Windows 11 on one drive (no pun intended) and CachyOS on another & after installing CachyOS I had a new bootloader (forgot the name) and that’s how I would always choose what I wanted to boot into on startup/restart.
A couple days ago though my computer updated somehow even though I had automatic updates off & I usually don’t turn off my computer so today was the first time I was actually trying to restart it to boot into Linux but no matter what I do, even with Fast Startup disabled, I just can NOT get the bootloader to show; it does what it usually does but the screen is completely black until Windows starts. I tried spamming Delete (the key I use to manually select what I want to boot from) but it just stuck on a black screen until I shut it off & I tried using the arrows to see if that would work but again, no dice. If I turn on my computer or restart it and leave it alone it’ll boot just fine. This is kinda annoying bc I wanted to do something on Linux but I just can’t switch.
Any ideas now?
