What does life look like?

My husband just had a mandibulectomy with fibula free flap and partial glossectomy last month. He has a PEG which they said will likely be permanent and a trach right now. He will start chemo and radiation soon and I’ve been reading all the posts about what to expect during treatment, but what can I anticipate once the treatments are over? Like for him and for me as his caregiver? Will I be able to keep working? Will we ever be able to travel? I know there’s no crystal ball but I just hope there’s something hopeful down the road!

I’d love to hear what life is like months and years down the road if anyone has been on a similar journey!
