Nobody around me talks about Carti anymore

I remember at around this same time 2 years ago I’d DM my friends all the time about potential leaks, release dates, memes and OPM news because there was just so much hype behind it as everyone anticipated the release date of MUSIC. I used to refresh the sub every evening after school in between texts with my friends and video calls with my LD girlfriend.

Now I refresh Indeed every morning trying to find a job and and try to think of excuses to not spend time with my friends because I’m broke. I remember how we used to get hyped for snippets with my LD girlfriend and wonder what she’s doing now because we don’t talk anymore after MUSIC dropped. It’s like my whole circle of friends has outgrown each other and we’re constantly finding new reasons to move on. Even new releases and snippets don’t do much now to rekindle those old moments.
