Septum smells fishy???

so I got my septum pierced in august 2025, its been almost a year and two weeks ago I went on vacation and jumped into a pool and fully submerged my head for the first time since getting the piercing…. WELL ever since then theres been a really bad smell I’ve noticed and I think its definitely from my septum. Its not SUPER strong and sometimes it smells worse than others but definitely noticeable! I also live in CO and was wondering if maybe the fact its super dry rn has something to do with it lmfao??? idk figured id scream into the internet and see if anyone knows whats up !
