mom has mono, worried

hi everyone, F20, no medications, AUDHD, 124lbs

so, my mom tested positive for mono on wednesday—she got it from sharing drinks with my grandmother who lives full time in a retirement facility. she (my grandma) was super tired and forgetting things, so our primary doctor ordered a whole bunch of tests and that’s how she found out. my mom then tested positive. i only just found out, 2 days later, after she stopped me from opening a water bottle she drank from.

my dad tested and he’s negative, and i’m not having any symptoms, i just got tested and will find out tomorrow if i have it but im worried. i know primarily it’s spread through saliva and i don’t share my drinks with anyone, she hadn’t shared drinks with me either! but i also heard it was spread through air? unsure if that’s true. we spent 5 hours in the basement together yesterday due to severe weather so im. a bit worried lol.
