I had sex with my ex and I saw a bottle of Valacyclovir in his bathrom cabinet

My job keeps me isolated from people 5 days a week. I use the weekend to rest and meeting a good man to date is really hard. I’m extremely lonely and isolated.

I haven’t seen my ex in months. We had sex with a condom and because I had my period there was no oral sex thank God.

I went to the bathroom after sex, looked for toothpaste and there was a full bottle of Valacyclovir. I googled it. It’s herpes medicine.

It could be for HSV1 or HSV2

I asked him about immediately, he told me it was for his ear, I kept questioning him, I asked to see his last STDs results because he said he was clean for everything.

Then he said, “well even if I had herpes, it’s not contagious unless I have an outbreak”

I was pissed because he didnt disclose this to me at all. His excuse, because he doesnt have an outbreak doesnt sit right with me.

I need to know which kind of herpes hsv1 or hsv2, how can I ask him so he tells me with honesty, and I want to know how long has he had it?

I tested a few months ago after we broke up. I was clean. So I guess this is from a new partner and I should get tested again.

He’s not being open about it. I dont know if its oral or genital since he just shut down
