Wanting to adopt

First post here, so please keep your opprobrium to yourselves. I can’t stop thinking about the little ones in locales like Somalia and South Sudan who have lost their parents and how we, who haven’t been blessed with our own child, could help and love someone. But I have no idea how one would go about adopting a baby ethically?
